Gazprom extends Yakutian gasification to 2030, adding 550 km of lines to 27 settlements

During the PMGF‑2025 forum, Gazprom and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) signed an agreement to continue the gasification programme for five years, from 2026 through 2030. The contract, signed by Gazprom’s chairman of the board, Alexey Miller, and Yakutia’s head, Aysey Nikolaev, focuses on extending the southern gas network using the existing “Sila Sibiri” pipeline.

The plan calls for completing four new off‑ramps from “Sila Sibiri” – Aldan, Aldan‑2, Mury, and Chulman – each with its own gas‑distribution station. From these points inter‑ and intra‑settlement pipelines will be laid to the city of Aldan and to localities in the Aldan and Neryungri districts. In the Olekminsky district, the new lines will supply gas to 16 rural settlements. By the end of 2025, the Iengra gas‑distribution station is expected to be operational.

According to the head of Yakutia, by 2030 gas will reach 27 settlements, and roughly 550 km of distribution lines will be laid. The total investment from Gazprom for the 2026‑2030 phase is 9.8 billion rubles. Already, almost 10 000 households are connected, with an additional 10 000 expected next week.

The initiative builds on the Yakutian gasification programme, which aims to provide natural gas to 27 settlements by 2030, serving about 20 000 households and reducing diesel dependence in remote Siberian and Far‑Eastern communities.
